In the early 1980’s, when Tourism became the main stay for Caribbean territories; the TDC Group of Companies took the opportunity to form alliances with major stakeholders within the sector and established a link between Real Estate and the Nation building process.

Backed by strong investor confidence, a proven commercial track record, and the passion for innovation for new enterprises, the Group purchased prime real estate in Sandy Point, Conaree, Frigate Bay (the hospitality capital of St. Kitts), Half Moon Bay, and Charlestown, Nevis. 

The first projects were the Romney Properties, a low-income housing development, in the Sandy Point community, followed by the Golf View Apartments, a middle-income venture, which borders the one of the premier golf courses in the Caribbean region, the Royal St. Kitts Golf Course.

Building on the strong success of the first two endeavours, the Leeward Cove Condominiums, another first was envisioned. The beautifully landscaped, gated beachfront property offered exquisite furnishings, contemporary amenities, and access to many beaches, and the Southeast Peninsula.

Driven by niche market growth, the company embarked on a mixed-use development, The Sands Complex in the late 1990s. The exquisite retail office and residential complex was designed to attract a wide variety of businesses seeking to take advantage of its strategic location, in Basseterre’s Central Bay Front area.

By the mid-2000s, TDC partnered with local businesses, the RAMS Group of Companies, The Cable, and the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank, and Newfound Developers, a Canadian-based Company specializing in marketing high quality Real Estate in some of the world’s most exciting resort locations.

This led to the birth of Ocean’s Edge Condominiums, constructed on the island’s Southeastern Atlantic coast on the slopes of scenic Timothy Hill, in Frigate Bay. This high-end property with hillside apartments, garden cottages, and individual villas was another first in the Federation and reinforced TDC’s position as the leader in real estate development in the OECS.

The start of the new millennium brought with it many changes and realization of the Sunrise Hill Villas, located at Half Moon Bay, in Frigate Bay. The affordable villas reflected the authentic Kittitian architectural design, coupled with a modern-day thrust, which exhibited strong characteristics of a typical plantation house with unmistakable elements of the tropical lifestyle.

Continuing its strong tradition and proven track record, TDC has begun to write a new chapter in its real estate history with The Residences at Dewars. This development will feature 21st century designs, with climate adaptation, ecofriendly construction, and SMART technology amenities as its hallmarks.
